Hello!
Welcome back! Hope everyone had a restful break and is ready for lots of excitement this half term. Cosy season has well and truly arrived and we have lots to look forward to.
We have a gentler start to November than usual as our autumn disco is moving to January to leave space for other events including the lovely Hackney School of Food Autumn Trail (this Friday 6th) and the school-organised International Evening later this month.
Our main event this term is, of course, the Grasmere Winter Fair, which is taking place on Friday 4th December. Watch this space for more details!

Jumble sale: thank you
Since our last newsletter, we held our Autumn Jumble Sale - and what a success it was! Together, we raised an amazing £1,900 for FROGS. This was only possible thanks to the many volunteers who gave up their time to help sort jumble and sell it on the day, as well as the bakers and soup makers. Thank you also to everyone who came along to browse and shop, and helped give so many pre-loved items a new home. Events like this are a wonderful reminder of what we can achieve as a school community. Every penny raised helps FROGS fund enriching experiences and opportunities for all our children. This includes experiences like our upcoming KAPLA workshop, alongside things like sports and play equipment that our children enjoy every day. A huge thank you to everyone who played a part.

A huge thank you to all of the children who took part in creating drawings for the new Grasmere merch! With the help of parents and teachers alike, every child had the opportunity to contribute their own drawings, which were then brought together and transformed into a beautiful collection of 12 unique designs by Frogs volunteer and Grasmere parent, Léa. These designs are a wonderful celebration of the children’s creativity and imagination, all made possible by Léa’s incredible talent and dedication. A truly special Grasmere collaboration!

With Christmas fast approaching, the new collection offers some lovely gift ideas for family and friends. From T-shirts and tea towels to beautiful prints, available framed or unframed, there's something for everyone.
where can i find it?
The collection is available to pre-order now via our website, with orders ready to collect at the Winter Fair on 4th December. Please note that no excess stock will be ordered this year, it’ll be preorder only.
The deadline is Sunday 15th November at 11pm. As always, all money raised will go directly into funding projects, activities and resources agreed with the school for the enrichment and benefit of the Grasmere students.
please consider paying it forward
Like last year, you will also see an option on our shop to “pay it forward”. It’s important that all the Grasmere children have the option of owning one of these t-shirts.
Donations to “pay it forward” will help cover the cost of a t-shirt that will quietly go to a child who might not otherwise receive one. All the funds will be put towards merch to be distributed discreetly and with care by the school.

christmas trees: pre-order now
Christmas trees are available to order now too!
For those of us who are new to the school this year - every year Christmas trees are sold through the FROGS shop, with a portion of every purchase going towards fundraising for the school. We have an excellent supplier and they provide beautiful trees.
There are five sizes to choose from, starting from £35.
Orders close on 25th November.
Trees can be pre-ordered now via our shop, with collection at school during the Winter Fair on Friday 4th December, between 3.30pm and 5.30pm.
NEXT frogs meeting
We have our next FROGS meeting coming up on Wednesday 18th November at 8pm in The Shakespeare. We'd love to see as many of you there as possible! Come along to hear about our fundraising plans, share your ideas and help shape how we spend the money raised for the school. Whether you're a regular or have never been to a meeting before, everyone is welcome. The agenda will be shared via reps ahead of the meeting.
