Well done to Year 1 who raised £267 with their cake sale – an amazing result!
Thank you to everyone who attended our last meeting. Please find the minutes here, and the latest financial update here. This week the FROGS committee agreed to spend up to £1,000 on a new sign in metal letters for the front entrance. This was based on a request from the school, who will also be replacing and updating the existing, smaller signs. Our next – and final meeting of the year – will be on Friday 4th July at 9am at school.

CHESS TOURNAMENT
Our chess tournament is back, thanks to International Chess Master and Grasmere parent Ruth Sheldon, who will be battling against up to 12 players at once. This event is open to all chess players, young and old, from Grasmere and beyond, so please spread the word. They can play on their own or form teams, and tickets costs £5 – buy them in our online shop now.
As well as the chess tournament there will be cakes and drinks on sale, as well as fun activities and games for everyone. New for this year: our Fancy Dress Competition! Kids can dress up in their best black-and-white creations; there will be prizes for the best chess-themed costumes.
As ever our events rely on the work of our volunteers. Please sign up here if you can help on the day, or bake something for the event! Thank you.
EntErprise Fair
Also coming up is our Enterprise Fair, where the children can put on their business hats and come up with a stall idea, to raise money for themselves or their favourite charity. Places are limited so book your £5 stall now from our online shop.
